As I noted in my tweet, which was featured on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, Mr. Hope and Change is nothing but a Chicago machine politician. Now, increasing numbers of Americans are waking up to the fact that they probably should have expressed a teensy weensy bit more skepticism when a pompous, narcissistic empty suit with almost zero accomplishments, unless you count voting “present” over 100 times in the state Senate or stoking a sense of victimhood and entitlement in the poor people he was using as rungs on his career ladder, presented himself as a “post-partisan” “post-racial” savior. Gee, a Chicago politician says he’s going to bring unparalleled ethics and transparency to Washington. What could possibly go wrong? It makes more sense to believe in the tooth fairy, for crying out loud. Granted, a huge part of the Obama campaign’s effective electoral strategy was to involve millions of people in the presidential election whose only previous votes had been cast on their cell phones during a hotly-contested “American Idol” season. They still haven’t gotten over the fact that Oprah got them to buy a phony yarn about drug abuse and recovery cooked up by a creative writer as a true story.
Speaking of moronic and insufferably boring collections of fairy tales concocted by a fevered, dope-influenced brain, in his book “Dreams from My Father,” B. Hussein wrote how he decided to join a church, while a “community organizer” in Chicago, something he hasn’t yet done in Washington. I’ll spare you the details. Here’s the bottom line: the young agitator soon discovered that it was bad for business to not be able to provide an answer when he was asked by the ministers and church-loving people in the community that he was trying to incite “Where do you go to church?” Political expediency dictated that he get an answer to that question STAT, and he found the perfect one in the racist, anti-Semitic, screeching lunatic Jeremiah Wright, who was less about spirituality and more about race-based victimhood and payback from Whitey. Perfect! Now that his political fortunes have turned South, Barry is now turning spiritual, lecturing us on the “moral imperative” that is socialism and government-controlled, rationed health care. It’s difficult for me to focus on this moral imperative stuff because I’m still trying to figure out how someone with Barack Obama’s deep Christian faith still hasn’t found a church in his new home town after almost 8 months.
The former man-god may have left Rev. Wright behind, but it turns out that when the future Pres. Sham WOW (Walks on Water) slithered out of the stinking slough of corruption that is Cook County democrat politics, he was dragging a huge collection of alums from Chicago City Hall, not the least of which is his big-mouthed wife Michelle, who is a second-generation patronage soldier of Daley’s army. Not surprisingly, they have brought Chicago-style politics to Washington. Consider the following stories:
$4B of stimulus funds to create rental housing
It hasn’t escaped the attention of many that the “stimulus” bill, which absolutely, positively had to be signed IMMEDIATELY, even before any of that collection of self-important, self-interested weasels masquerading as statesmen that we call “Congress” had a chance to read it, hasn’t prevented unemployment from rising above 8%, as promised. Now perhaps we know why. The good news is that, in the grand tradition of Chicago cronyism, it will no doubt stimulate some of Obama’s pals, just as this “affordable housing” project back in Chicago did for Mayor Daley’s friends.
Democratic investigators target health insurers
From Politico:
House Democrats are probing the nation’s largest insurance companies for lavish spending, demanding reams of compensation data and schedules of retreats and conferences.
Letters sent to 52 insurance companies by Democratic leaders demand extensive documents for an examination of ‘extensive compensation and other business practices in the health insurance industry.” The letters set a deadline of Sept. 14 for the documents.
Just in case some of the remaining hopelessly besotted Obama cult members have wandered over here and don’t recognize that, let me spell it out for you. It’s called the Chicago way. Like Tony Soprano having a friendly conversation with someone he thinks may have crossed him, these democrats just want to talk to you, Mr. Insurance Executive. Don’t you worry about it.
As the Gorebot famously said “A leopard never changes his stripes.”
